Kicking the post - X-Mas Blues

 
Christmas has come and gone for another year. It is at this time, the "post holiday blues" drop in for their annual visit. We find ourselves feeling a little let down and lost with what to do ourselves. All of the sudden we realize how tired we are!
 
We are approaching another year coming to a close and consciously or not, we evaluate the ending year and how we feel we fared. If we haven't reached goals we set for ourselves or experienced losses, we could end up feeling a little down.
 
Christmas tends to strain most budgets, knowing the next few months could be lean ones is not fun. Colds, flus, over-indulging, over working can leave us physically unwell and exhausted.
 
These feelings are perfectly natural after the several weeks of energy and exertion we have put into the Holiday Season.
 
When we start to feel the post Holiday Blues, we need to remember to treat ourselves kindly.
 
Have faith, eventually things will return to normal. Forget the mistakes, the regrets, disappointments of the past year. Try this little ritual... Write on a slip of paper any bad memories for the past year that you'd like to forget. Then toss them into the fire or into the garbage and say "good riddance". Keep only the good memories.
 
This year might be coming to an end but the New Year symbolizes a new beginning, so face forward as a brand new journey begins!!
